BIOGRAPHY
Jill Sochill has been doing stand up comedy and performance art for 21 years, with a 20 year break to focus on mental health. During this time she offers the UpRising Yoga program, (or was admitted), to many jails and institutions to share mindfulness and yoga. Originally she hit the stage to avoid AA, deciding this is where the angry people go- towards a microphone! Now, with two decades of healing arts behind her, she dazzles her audience with a blend of hard hitting humor with twists of healarity, stories that crack everyone up!

Jill has developed a trauma sensitive yoga curriculum and has educated hundreds of yoga instructors, mental health professionals, probation staff and educators through Trauma Informed Yoga Trainings. Jill is also an activist, consultant, and community program developer and is working towards changing probation culture to be more restorative. She currently offers mindfulness, meditation and coaching services through "Deep Shift Coaching".
